Lord Speaker's Outreach Programme

Baroness Walmsley is also involved in the Lord Speaker's Outreach programme. Set up by Baroness Hayman, the Lord Speaker, it is a programme that aims to help young people learn more about how the government works and raise the profile of the House of Lords. It encourages members of the House of Lords to visit schools across the country.

Baroness Walmsley visits schools in North Wales and Cheshire and talks to children about the work of a peer and the contribution they can make to politics.
